I have never been a yoga lover. I have tried it a million times and each time I sit there thinking about my grocery list or things I would rather be doing. I am a high strung person who needs high energy workouts. Until I met Ava.

My session with Ava started out with an assessment. She explained her theories & practices and then completed a thorough assessment of my posture, alignment (apparently, I am crooked), and asked thought-provoking questions about my stress-management skills (I don't even know what to say here except that we will probably have to consult Talia Starr on this one!). Then, we got down to work.
Yoga with Ava wasn't like any other class I had ever taken. She didn't call out names of positions I didn't know and had to figure out by watching the uncoordinated person next to me. She was right there next to me, guiding me and challenging me to get the most of out of each pose. It was exactly what this yoga-sceptic needed to figure out why so many people love yoga so much!
But, that's not all. Then she got me high.
At the end of our session, Ava lead a meditation that literally made me feel like I was floating. Her calm yet effective way of practicing left me so relaxed that I just followed her voice into the most calm and serene state of mind that I have ever been in.
It was amazing, and I haven't been able to stop talking about it ever since. I loved it! And, just like Ava promised, I left our session loving yoga and wanting to do it again...soon.
