If you’re looking for a weekend getaway with your love without the TSA pat down and cramped quarters of a flight, here are a few easy to get to romantic hotels just in time for Valentine's Day!
I’ll start with the ultimate spa resort, because what’s more romantic than spending a cold winter day having a couples massage? A true wellness escape, The Lodge at Woodloch is a quick 2 hours away in the beautiful Poconos.
Tip- get one of their couples spa packages with meals, spa treatments, fitness classes and more included, so it’s no worries once you arrive!

If you’re up for a longer drive, head 3.5 hours south to The Inn at Perry Cabin in Maryland. This stylish resort has it all- located in St. Michaels at the heart of Chesapeake Bay, this quaint seaport town has antiquing, art and of course lots of seafood.
Fun fact, some of the filming of one of my favorite movies took place here, anyone know which one?
Mohonk Mountain House, 2 hours north in New Paltz, New York truly feels like you’re out of the city and enjoying the quiet country life. This historical resort surrounds a lake and if it’s outdoorsy, you can do it here. But don’t worry, in the winter you can enjoy the on site spa, cozy up by the fire in your room and take in these views.
How about a staycation? It may sound crazy, but to get away from it all, you can head into the city for one of THE most beautiful spa retreats in the area at The Greenwich Hotel. This isn’t your standard cookie cutter hotel, each room is unique, their restaurant is perfect for date night and in this hip Tribeca hotspot, you’re bound to bump into a face or 2 you recognize.
If your idea of romance is cozying up by a fire under the stars after a day of hitting the slopes, the fun and funky designed hotel, Scribner’s Catskill Lodge is a quick 2 hours away at Hunter Mountain. While there is no spa on site, they have a great restaurant and lively bar and offer yoga, meditation, and an apres ski DJ on the weekends.
