Two Makeup Looks Perfect for the Holidays

Amanda and I decided to collaborate this year on fun holiday looks. It's no secret that Amanda is a fabulous makeup artist, but you may not know that I went to the same makeup school to get certified myself this past year. We were super excited to do this together and would love to see your looks! Tag us!

Holiday Makeup Look #1: Melissa’s Sultry Eyes

I love a dramatic eye. I wanted to go frosty and wintery and was inspired by all of the Frozen palettes coming out this season. I am huge fan of plums on brown eyes, so decided to really blend it out with plums and silvers. Start with your darkest color for your crease and the outside corner and just keep on blending as you add lighter colors to the overall look. My favorite is actually this brush from Morphe. I use a few coats of Better Than Sex Mascara in the blackest shade I can find which never fails to impress and give you that false lash look! I added a neutral pink lip, a little pink blush and used Born This Way concealer to add a slight dewy highlight in all the best spots to offset the drama of the eyes!

Holiday Makeup Look #2: Amanda’s Gilded Eyes

The Holiday season is the time of year when I really like to step up my makeup game. For me, it’s all about the eyes and I love creating a bold, glittering smokey look that is perfect for festive evening gatherings and parties.

A smokey eye looks intimidating, but it’s surprisingly easy to create. First, line the upper and lower lash line with black kohl liner. Using a blending brush, smudge out the liner concentrating on the outer corners to create that smokey cat eye. Use your finger to dab a gold, glittery shadow on the middle of your eyelids and in the inner corners. Apply several coats of jet black mascara. And for an even bolder look, apply false lashes. Ardell Wispies are my FAVE (used in this look). I finished this look with a peachy blush and nude lip.
