After a long work day, particularly in the summer, I love a refreshing mojito. Some of my favorite go-to spots in Hoboken are:
The Cuban: It’s a shame National Mojito Day doesn’t fall on a Monday, because Mondays are $5 Mojitos at the Cuban! I really enjoy the classic (on the rocks, with some muddled mint), but the Cuban offers quite a few twists. They have a passionfruit mojito, mango mojito, and a guava mojito. While it’s a great place for a nice dinner, the Cuban is also perfect for sitting at the bar- ordering a mojito- and noshing on some of their signature small plates.
Cucharamama: Slightly off the beaten path of Washington street (located on Clinton Street), Cucharamama does not disappoint. There is outdoor seating and the mojitos go great with their empanadas. I’m not much of a gin person, but my husband has ordered their gin mojito on many occasions and loved it.
**Did you know Cucharamama is a Little Hoboken Hook-Up vendor?? Great Sunday brunch deals with your card!
Cadillac Cantina: This is our go-to, coming off the path train, need a drink STAT place. The music is always great (if you like top 40s over the last few decades), and the mojitos are refreshing. Outdoor seating makes for great people-watching.
AND....we scored you a deal! Mention Little Hoboken all day and night today for $5 Cruzan Rum Mojito drinks and $10 Cruzan Rum Mojito Carafes!!!
Brass Rail: I’m a creature of habit. Brass Rail has always been one of my favorite places in town. I love the indoor/outdoor vibe, and pretty much all of the drinks can quench your thirst. While you may be inclined to order a glass of wine at their bar, I recommend you try the mojito! In fact, stop by any weeknight for dinner and your kid eats for free with your Little Hoboken Hook-Up Card!!
